Coro Ruby Flower Brooch And Pendant Top

An antique brooch with a classy art deco design with two deep ruby red rhinestone buds, each with a sparkling rhinestone that looks like a small water drop at the tip. There is a ring on the back of the brooch, so it can be used as a choker or as a pendant top for a necklace.

The flower sepal has an open cut work in the shape of a clover, and a row of clear rhinestones sparkle like water droplets in a three-dimensional curved ribbon, making it very elegant. This is a good item. The vintage logo of Coro, an American vintage costume jewelry brand, is engraved on the back of the brooch and on the back of the necklace’s clasp. It seems to be from around the 1940s.

[Costume jewelry popular brand story]
Coro

The brand name comes from the two founders, “Co” for Emanuel Cohen and “Ro” for Gerald Rorenberg. Founded in 1901, the company name was changed to Coro Inc. in 1943. Production in America continued until 1979 and in Canada until 1998.

Designer and director Adolf Katz, who joined the company in 1924, quickly led the company to rapid growth as America’s largest costume jewelry company. Along with TRIFARI, it is a manufacturer that produces a wide range of products from affordable to luxury lines in terms of quality and design, and is also a brand that is easy to collect.

Corocraft, launched in 1937, and Vendome, launched in 1944, are the company’s luxury brand lines.
