Winard-12K Gold Filled-Turquoise Fruit Brooch

An antique brooch made of a turquoise cabochon fruit with a branch of five beautiful gold leaves with delicate and moist shining line work, and a bunch of curly vines.

Turquoise stone has a very expressive color and pattern, and will be useful as an accent color in your coordination. It looks especially good among basic colors such as beige, gray, and brown.

It is hard to read in the photo due to scratches, but there is a stamp 4 WINARD 12K G.F. on the back of the brooch.

Winard is an American jewelry manufacturer that was founded in the early to mid-1900s and continued until the 1950s and 1960s. They produced a lot of jewelry using natural stones such as ivory, coral, pearl, jade, and onyx.

Gold filled is more than 100 times thicker than regular gold plating (gold coating), and because it is bonded with heat, it is durable and difficult to peel off, and its color and texture are comparable to solid gold. In Western Europe, it is often seen in high-quality antique jewelry and vintage accessories with high design.
