Wells-K14 Gold-Gold Layered MOP Grape Leaf Brooch

A beautiful vintage brooch with layers of Mother of the Burl leaves and delicately engraved gold leaves.

The surface of the shellfish has a beautiful glow of pink to pastel green.

Grapes are an auspicious pattern/lucky symbol that has long been a motif for jewelry and accessories in both East and West as a symbol of descendant prosperity, abundance, and longevity because they grow abundantly.

Classy yet with a modern touch, the unique design is wonderful.

While many vintage and antique jewelry gold-filled pieces are 12 carat, this brooch is 14 carat. This item is in excellent condition with no peeling or fading in the yellow gold color.

The back of the brooch is engraved with WELLS. Wells is a brand of American jewelry manufacturer Wells Jewelart Co., and is said to have continued until the 1970s.

Gold filled is more than 100 times thicker than regular gold plating (gold coating), and because it is bonded with heat, it is durable and difficult to peel off, and its color and texture are comparable to solid gold. In Western Europe, it is often seen in high-quality antique jewelry and vintage accessories with high design.
