Weiss: Bumblebee Bear Bee Vintage Brooch

$ 80.00

The eyes are emerald green, the face is amber oval faceted glass, and Jelly Belly’s body is a slightly darker amber color than the face. Her wings are pave with antique gold rhinestones embedded in them. A vintage brooch with a bee motif that is cute but full of the charm of high-quality vintage jewelry.

On the back of the brooch, towards the tip of the feather, there is a plate signed WEISS.

Weiss was founded in New York in 1942 by Albert Weiss, who gained experience at Coro, the largest costume jewelry company at the time.

We are particular about using Austrian crystals for our signature rhinestones. Until it closed in 1971, Weiss produced most of its accessories in its own factory.

Bees are natural workers who help pollinate plants, and have been used as jewelry motifs in various cultures since ancient times, as symbols of prosperity and nature. In recent years, as the details of their important role in the ecosystem have been elucidated, there are concerns that their numbers are decreasing due to natural destruction and climate change, so they have become a symbol of environmental protection.
