●Condition: Vintage Mint (The Swoboda brand has not been continued, but this is a product of Swoboda’s co-owner and chief designer. This is a collection owned by Nate Waxman and is unused, dead stock. Therefore, it is in excellent condition.
Her face is a large jade, her orange mane is carnelian, and her body is a warm red garnet. Her eyes are turquoise. At the tip of her tail is a small pearl. A gorgeous and cute lion dead stock (unused) vintage brooch made of orange to red/brown natural stones.
The back of the brooch is signed SWOBODA INC., indicating that it is made by Swoboda.
Swobodadoes not create ‘typical’ cut gemstone jewelry, but colorfully uses polished natural stones, often depicting natural elements such as birds, flowers, and insects. It is known for its wonderful designs with motifs. It was founded in Los Angeles in 1956 and continued until 1979.
It is said that engravings began to be added in 1966, and jewelry and accessories made before that time are not engraved.
