A white marble pattern cabochon and a transparent red cabochon in the shade of indigo. A vintage brooch with a cute carnelian face on the body of natural stone, lapis lazuli (Japanese name: lapis lazuli).
The Swoboda logo, SWO, is engraved on the back of the brooch. This item is from the collection of Nate Waxman, the founder and designer of Swoboda, and is in excellent condition as it is an unused dead stock item.
His pose is so cute, like when he’s waddling around and looking back! Although it has bird motifs and animal motifs, it has a slightly abstracted and stylish design.
Swoboda‘sVintage Brooch is known for its colorful use of polished natural stones, rather than its ‘typical’ cut gemstone jewelry, and its wonderful designs with natural motifs such as birds, flowers, and insects.
It was founded in Los Angeles in 1956 and continued until 1979.
