Sphinx, a British costume jewelry brand, with Sphinx engraving and serial number. The Sphinx was started by S. Root in London in 1947. It became popular in the 1950s, and was produced by Kenneth Jay Lane, Butler & Wilson, New York’s famous fashion department stores, Saks 5th Avenue, Nieman Marcus, Bloomingdales, etc. We manufacture jewelry and accessories.
Production under the SPHINX brand name ended in 2000. Currently, we continue manufacturing for other companies.
