Moonlight Grape Brooch
A beautiful antique brooch made of Lucite (an old type of resin) called moonglow, which has a mysterious glow that seems to be emitting light from within. Rhinestones are embedded in the leaves and stems of the heavily ripened grapes.
The whole piece has a white tone, so the fruit motif gives it a mature and chic look. Yet, it is overflowing with rich details such as the silver color of the sour kanji, rhinestones, and glossy moonglow.
Grapes have long been used as jewelry motifs in both Japan and the West as a symbol of fertility, fruitfulness, fertility, and vitality due to their abundant fruit and vigorous growing vines. It can be used not only in the seasonal seasons, fall and winter, but also all year round, as an obi clip for kimonos.
