Coro-Authentic Mustard Seed Brooch And Earrings Amulet Set

A vintage brooch and earring set featuring dangling Lucite balls containing real yellow mustard seeds.

Mustard seeds are used in the Bible as an illustration of how small things can grow big and create a bountiful nature, and during the Victorian era, they were a symbol of Faith. Coro, an American vintage costume jewelry brand, has released a new product called Amulet of Faith–This tiny genuine mustard seed will be a beacon light to guide you always-through Faith. This item was released as an amulet with the message “It will always be a light that guides you through your faith.”

The brooch and earrings have the same design motif, so they are a set, but the brooch is probably older and from a different era.

Coro

The brand name comes from the two founders, “Co” for Emanuel Cohen and “Ro” for Gerald Rorenberg. Founded in 1901, the company name was changed to Coro Inc. in 1943. Production in America continued until 1979 and in Canada until 1998.

Designer and director Adolf Katz, who joined the company in 1924, quickly led the company to rapid growth as America’s largest costume jewelry company. Along with TRIFARI, it is a manufacturer that produces a wide range of products from affordable to luxury lines in terms of quality and design, and is also a brand that is easy to collect.

Corocraft, launched in 1937, and Vendome, launched in 1944, are the company’s luxury brand lines.
