A rare antique dangling vintage brooch with a triangular shaped perfume bottle covered in filigree and a small perfume bottle hanging from a bar pin with a chain.

The front of the bottle has a detailed rose flower embroidery. This is a wonderful embroidery work that is stitched one stitch at a time on the fabric, which is less than 1mm thick. There is no perfume in the bottle.

The lid closes securely, but it will not go all the way to the bottom of the threaded part of the bottle's mouth, so please be careful when opening and closing.

The lid has a glass rod. It's not a dropper, it's for applying a little bit of perfume.

Japanese Wikipedia says that it started in Austria in the 18th century, and there are some pieces of information that refer to it, but the English Encyclopedia Britannica says that it started in France in the 17th to early 18th century. A cameo of flowers in a basket. I guess it's lilac, but the purple color is moist and calming and lovely. The back has a metal fitting for passing a chain through, so you can use it as a pendant by passing your chain through it.
