Avon
Avon’s predecessor was the California Perfume Company, founded in 1886. The Avon brand name has been in use since 1928. Avon is still known for its door-to-door sales of cosmetics, but in 1971 it entered the costume jewelry industry. From 1980 to 1984, Tiffany & Co. was a subsidiary of Tiffany.
