Original Haskell Dauplaise-Black Star Bead Necklace & Brooch Set

A set of a bolo tie-style vintage necklace with black faceted beads and a vintage brooch with a design that looks like a combination of hand-painted stars and daisy flowers. Dauplaise’s signature is engraved only on the back of the brooch.

The beads on the chain part of the necklace are glass, and the rest seems to be old plastic.

Daulaise is a brand created by Carol Dauplaise, who became independent in 1978 after belonging to Miriam Haskel for 20 years from 1959 to Miriam Haskell, which is the first name that comes to mind when you think of a luxury brand of American costume jewelry. Her vintage items are often influenced by Haskell’s designs, and in fact include unstamped parts that were originally used by Haskell.
